Luke Tierney



Luke Tierney is an IF-award nominated director, writer and producer, who has experience writing and directing a wide variety of projects including shorts, web-series, multi-platform, TV and commercial content. He began his career working in post-production as a colourist, working on Australian feature
films, commercials and music videos, before transitioning into production. He was a co-writer on Australian broadcaster ABC2's International Emmy Award winning series, "#7 Days Later", and co-wrote the pilot for ABC2's comedy series "The Strange Calls” which has since been developed into a comedy pilot for NBC starring Danny Pudi (“Community”) and Daniel Stern (“Home Alone”). Luke has experience directing in the commercial realm and has directed commercial content for companies including Telstra, Cascade, Toohey’s New, Westinghouse and Seek. His producing work has yielded awards including Grand Jury Prize at Flickerfest, selection at Las Vegas Film Festival, and Golden Tripod awards at the ACS Awards. Most recently, Luke co-wrote and directed short film, “Face” starring Ewen Leslie and Henry Nixon, which screened at Flickerfest and was recently picked up for representation by GermanMfilm festival agency: “Aug & Ohr Medien".
