Claudia Vogt studied acting at the University of Music, Drama an Media in Hanover from 1991 to 1995. For her performance of Merteuil in the play Quartett by Heiner Müller she received the Talent Award at Theatertreffen Deutschsprachiger Schauspielstudenten in Stuttgart in 1995. In the following years she took up fulltime acting positions at Junges Theater Göttingen, Schauspiel Leipzig and Staatstheater Kassel. Since 2000 she has been starring in several TV productions – movies as well as series for public sector broadcasters. Collaborations with various directors and her longterm shooting experience led to the desire of telling own stories and therefore changing sides within the creative process. Consequently she studied video and sound design, digital image creation, culture management as well as funding of culture and marketing at cimdata in Berlin. Claudia Vogt works as a Berlin-based filmmaker. She develops and realizes documentary and fictional films, in which she is responsible for production, directing, script and editing.
