Anja Strelec was born in 1985 in Vara?din, where she finished First Gymnasium Vara?din. In 2008 she finished the studies of journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences. After finishing faculty, she was working in Argentina in several cities as a teacher of Croatian language and history for Croatian emigrants and their descendants. In 2009 she got an international scholarship Eurodysee which enabled her to work in Bruxelles in the Spanish regional office. In 2011 she directed her first short documentary film ?The Importance of Being Kova?evi??, produced by Restart Laboratory. In 2013 she directed her second short documentary ?Home is where my age is? produced by Restart Laboratory. In 2015 she graduated in Montpellier in France - postgraduate studies in film and audio-visual production. In 2016 she finished her third documentary film ?Abidance?.
