Synopsis



Kamal has a dream: he wants to fly, but many say paragliding is an impossible dream for a man in a wheelchair. An inspiration in the Paralympic community, he's helped many beat the odds. Now it's his turn to try.

Maria Ibrahimova



Award-winning filmmaker Maria Ibrahimova made her debut film, the documentary MISS GULAG, with the support of the Sundance Institute and the Ford Foundation. The film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and traveled the world to more than 40 international festivals. It was later shown on the BBC, many channels in Europe and the United States, and is available on iTunes. Awarded a Fulbright to pursue her documentary work on land-mines in Azerbaijan, Maria completed several documentary and TV projects there including work on episodes of the TV shows “Amazing Race”, “Build It Bigger”, and an array of music and tourism videos. In 2015 Maria made her debut narrative short film “Letter to God” which won an Audience Award at the DCShorts film festival in Washington DC.
