Synopsis



Back in the late 70’s, somewhere behind the iron curtain, a young boy experiences the gloomy and strict life of a pioneer camp. Galambos, whose name means «pigeon», is a naive teenager, strongly influenced by his father’s fascination for Native Americans. His imaginary world contrasts with the reality of communist everydays. He is waiting for his father to return.

Balazs Simonyi



Balazs Simonyi (born 1980, in Budapest) graduated in Literature & Film, and is currently completing his PhD in Art Theory. Freelance filmmaker since 2002. His films have been screened at major festivals, from Cannes to Clermont-Ferrand and Cracow, from Aspen and St. Louis to Seattle and Vancouver. He has won several awards, like the CamerImage, the Audience Award at Asiana Film Festival, and the French Cinema Distributors’ prize. His films has beenbroadcasted in France, the USA and Japan. He is also an organizer and selector of the Budapest Short Film Festival.
