After some first shorts and several practicals at theatres and film productions Anna Linke began her studies of visual communication at the Bauhaus-University in Weimar. She put her main emphasis on films. So she produced some shorts that took part in more than 200 hundred festivals ( for example at the film festival in Cannes, at the Interfilm or at the Sao Paulo International Film Festival) and won several awards ( “Best film” at kurzundschön in 2010, Intervideo newcomer award in 2011, gold at the Bundesfilmfestival für Spielfilm in 2011). From 2011 to 2012 Anna Linke participated the top qualifying programme for young directors “TP2 Talent pool” that was sponsored by the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung. After being awarded with the Hochschulpreis of the Bauhaus-University Weimar in 2011 she finished her studies with a degree in design and a mark of “Sehr gut”. She then immediately qualified with her degree film FEUERARLARM to attend the “Berlinale Talent Campus” and the “Editing Studio”. She got scholarships from the Förderverein of the Familie Fiedler, the Schleswig-holsteinische Künstlerhaus Eckernförde, the KulturstiftungThüringen and the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop. For a while Anna Linke lectured video art at the Erfurt University. In 2013 the cast and cut short film scholarship followed and was sponsored by the Nordmedia. In 2014 and 2015 she worked with a script sponsorship on the script for her debut film KÖNIG SAULS SOHN (WT) (90 min). In April 2016 she starts to be an assistant professor for the area “cut” at the “Deutsche Pop Hannover”.
