Synopsis



A woman and a child – two people saved by the remembrance. An apocalyptic annihilation has happened in their world. Afterimages of those traumatic events interfere the perception of reality. Woman and child are haunted by a constant sense of insecurity and danger. The surrounding world gives them no chance for the survival. Main characters exist, but as if they were dead. They meet, but they can’t see each other. They only live in those blurred by the time images of human memory.

Jaroslaw Konopka



Jaroslaw Konopka was born in 1970 in Lublin, Poland. He is multi-talented Polish author and director of auteur animated films in stop-motion (e.g. “Underlife” inspired by the famous “Lullaby” of composer Krzysztof Komeda). His experience also includes working as a cinematographer, animator, editor, as well as production designer. He graduated from The Academy of Fine Arts (ASP) in Krakow (faculties of graphic arts, painting and intermedia – animation) and for many years has been working with classic easel painting. Later, he decided to focus on film production. Since that time Jaroslaw Konopka has been involved in the production of many animated films. He also became a valued animator of stop-motion series for the pre-school viewers.
