VERAS TONGUE IN MY MOUTH FULL OF CHOCOLATE

Helmut Mario Fulls - 12'31"
(Germany)

Synopsis

*12 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The embittered socialist Robert Lekroucha (62) lives with his son Wladimir (13) in the East German province. After an unexpected inheritance, he responds to a job announcement from a young woman and offers her work as a maid in his home. But when Irma Freimars appears, things aren’t the way they should be. Irma comes from the much-hated West, she’s not young at all, she wears a cross around her neck, and she drinks sour Riesling wine! However, in a socialistic reflex, he hires her nonetheless. But soon, her French food and her religious nature start to get on Robert’s nerves. And on his son’s, too, who much prefers to read through his father’s old diaries, fully concentrating on reliving his first erotic experiences.

Nicola was very lucky that her studies brought her to the Netherlands, Canada and Australia. After graduating in “International Media Management”, she worked in advertising and fiction film productions in Berlin, always fantasizing about making her own films. She realised that her journeys around the world have very much affected her visual language, her perception of stories and the individuals behind them. Shortly after, she commenced her master at DocNomads, a mobile film school taking place in Portugal, Belgium and Hungary. During her studies she made many creative documentary short films, that were well perceived on International Film Festivals and art exhibitions.
